Antonio Iturra recently interviewed me for his book on S.L.O.W. creativity (a fantastic concept I’m not at liberty to give away. :) During our interview, one of the questions he asked was:
In your creative process or personal expression, where do you hold back?
It took me only a few seconds to respond. I told Antonio there are subject matters I don’t write about on Substack, even while they are quite significant and I know a good bit about them.
I share this anecdote because holding back—learning about when and why we do—is the work of our next CLEAR Practice Circle, this Friday, August 21 from 8 - 9:30am Pacific.
If you need a reminder (or a first glimpse) of what these Circles are for, they are for people like Mimi, below, who subscribed a few days ago. See Mimi’s tagline.
CLEAR Practice Circles are about working with the inner argument—the invisible argument that complicates many aspects of our lives and work.
These are small-group, multi-sensory sessions for Paid Subscribers at Nothing in the Way, my #innerGamestorming publication. If you become a Paid Subscriber there, I’ll email you details to join and I’ll send you a calendar invitation for this Friday.
A recent note from a participant:
I love how you facilitate, how you recognize you don’t have all the answers, how you lead others into their own experience. Today was a gift. Thank you.
Come as you are,
Sun
