Interesting ideas. I find the three act structure (Act 1: Open, Act 2: Explore, Act 3: Close) quite helpful. I also find a lot of similarities in the double diamond structure where the first diamond is the problem space, the second diamond is the solution space. So in case of double diamond structure, I could see two phases of Open Explore Close.
